Month of November -Due to government restrictions, we are now offering zoom sessions with the child’s class teacher, weekly tasks will be set, marked or individual video feedback given – age appropriate. All fees are to be paid as normal. We would like to thank our supportive parents and families for your kind wishes and messages of support. They are greatly appreciated at this time.

Acting Up offers the first session free of charge as a taster session, followed by a 6 week trial period where fees can be paid weekly before the session until you are happy your child has settled and Theatre School is something they wish to continue. After this time fees are to be paid on a term by term basis. As a parent/guardian you will be held responsible for payment, even if your child does not attend a class. This encourages regular attendance that will enable your child to progress more quickly. Only in the event of severe weather conditions and school closure will a session be refunded. This will appear in the form of a credit on the following terms invoice. Pupils with outstanding invoices will be asked to stop lessons until the balance is cleared. School fee's depend on the age of your child and which classes he/she attends, please contact us for further information.
It is compulsory that all pupils attend in school uniform. Hair must be well groomed for all subjects and jewellery should not be worn at any time. Only pupils who are in their trial period will be allowed into lessons without uniform. Uniform can be order at Theatre School or by email or telephone. Uniform order sheets can be found in reception, uniform can only be collect when it has been paid for.
No, unlike other school's we do not charge for extra rehearsals. When working towards productions we aim to keep costumes to a minimum in order to keep cost low for parents. However, on some occasions parents will be asked to pay a costume hire fee of £5.00.
At Acting Up, we recognise the importance of providing a safe and secure environment for all our students. All members of our staff, whether paid or volunteering, are required to apply on a regular basis for Enhanced Clearance through the DBS. Acting Up children are taught by highly specialised teachers & instructors. In addition the children are supervised by our principal and cared for by our teaching assistants & chaperones. We encourage anyone of any age who has ANY concerns about a child to contact either the school principal or a LADO officer without hesitation.

By completing a registration form you give permission to keep the above data on record for 12 months for the purposes of emergency and internal advertising/communication after which time your details will be disposed of securely. Parents are required to complete a new form at the start of every academic year. We do not share your personal information with any third parties. It is the parent’s responsibility to inform us of any change in information including telephone numbers and addresses.

Should your child exhibit any signs of bad behaviour the principal will decide the most appropriate course of action. It may result in expulsion from the school. Where necessary the parent/guardian will be kept informed.
Medical Information and Special Requirements
You are required to give details of any medical condition, disability, disorder or special requirements Acting Up staff should be aware of including allergies and any medication your child may need to take whilst attending.
Photography and Videos
You give permission for your child to be photographed or recorded in class for any necessary promotion purposes in print, press, social media and any marketing material.
