Our aim is to empower our students to dream big and believing that those dreams can become a reality with hard work and dedication. We promise to inspire, motivate and challenge our students ensuring the learning process we offer is one of fun and excitement.
All students, will be treated as individuals. We recognise all children are different and learn in different ways and to different levels and this is something that is considered in our teaching.
All of our staff & chaperones are required to have a recent Enhanced Disclosure through the DBS and follow strict guidelines that form Acting Up Safeguarding Children. The safety and protection of all children and young people that Acting Up Children’s Theatre School supports is paramount, and has priority over all other interests. We also require our staff to have either a recognised teaching qualification or experience of delivering training within the Performing Arts.
Currently our industry remains largely unregulated, because of this pupils can be let down by, poor syllabus content, poor teaching standards & safety issues and as a result pupils are put at risk and the learning process stops. This is how we address these issues:
Our Curriculum content is written and developed by Acting Up to ensure that learning is progressive and ongoing. Regular assessments take place by external agencies, where teaching is observed and monitored. We offer an open door policy where the Principal is available to speak with regarding any issues or concerns you may have. Office Hours are Monday Tuesday Thursday & Fridays 9-4pm. Enhanced Disclosure checks made on all staff & chaperones. Public Liability and Employers’ Liability insurance policies in place by this country’s leading childcare specialists.
We welcome information requests from Local Authorities and Government Bodies who wish to discover more about Acting Up.
