Private Singing Lessons
Acting Up Singing tuition trains all aspects of the voice including breathing techniques, range development, pitch correction, articulation, repertoire choices, confidence building and most of all bridges the chest and head voice successfully. Our techniques also ensure strength in the head voice, ensuring a connected vocal tone throughout your whole range.
Your first session will include a vocal assessment, allowing your Vocal Tutor to understand your strengths and weaknesses. Sessions are tailored towards the individual. Tuition is available to beginners through to advanced.
Teaching is on a 1-2-1 basis in half hour or hourly sessions.

Private Acting – Audition Coaching
We are able to provide you with the necessary skills to audition with confidence and ease, working with you on speeches, posture, clothing and also provide material if required. We provide this service at our Theatre School or are able to arrange to come to you.
Sessions cover, dealing with nerves, easy to use and highly impactful improv and workshop skills, taking direction, making an impression, confidence, making the job/drama school place yours.
Coaching can be from a one hour session, or several over a period of time.
Many of our previous students have auditioned successfully for Conference Drama schools including: Guildhall, Mountview, RADA, Central, Arts Ed, Laine Theatre Arts and L.A.M.D.A. Similarly professional work secured include: West End musicals and plays, Regional Theatre including Sunderland Empire, Theatre Royal Newcastle, Peoples Theatre, Customs House TV and film.

Private Dance Tuition
We are able to provide you with the necessary skills to audition with confidence and ease. Dance teachers can help choreograph your set piece and prepare you for your audition. Remember for most Performing Arts schools and colleges you will be expected to perform in all 3 disciplines including dance!

Exams
L.A.M.D.A- The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
The Guild Hall of Music and Drama.
Pupils receive a 1 to 1 lesson with a Drama practitioner every week. Pupils are entered for exams twice a year, that take place in March and November.
The examination syllabus is offered to all Acting Up pupil’s, one of the main advantages of undertaking exams is that many of our pupils now gain UCAS points for entry to the University of their choice.
The examination programme we offer represents a route in which pupils can unlock and discover their unique creative potential that will help and support pupils in all areas of their everyday lives, by developing a confidence and a clarity of expression and communication of which remains uniquely, their own. Many of our pupils now realise that any examination process is an exciting, dramatic time, where they are given the opportunity to share their hard work and efforts with others.
